Catherine Zeta Jones, the beautiful welsh actress that has been residing in people’s hearts ever since she shot to fame with The Mask of Zorro (1998) is the living day example of what one can achieve with little talent, hard work and good luck. The actress has worked in many prestigious projects and has the reputation of a charming personality among the inner circles.

Zeta Jones was born on September 25, 1969 in Swansea, a maritime city located on the southern coast of Wales. Her mother, Patricia was an Irish seamstress, and her father, David "Dai" Jones, was a Welsh sweet factory owner. She has two brothers for siblings, one older David A Jones, and one younger, Lyndon. Upon grabbing a fortune in bingo in the 1980s, they moved to St. Andrews Drive in Mayals, an upper class area of Swansea.

She attended the Dumbarton House School in Swansea, but left it in between to pursue her dream of being an actress and joined the Arts Educational Schools in Chiswick for a full-time three year course in musical theatre.

Career in Movies
She has been involved in the nuisances of acting since childhood, what with performing at dance parties and school plays. Her association with stage began with her joining catholic’s congregate troupe when she wasn’t even 10. Soon she made her debut on stage with playing the lead in Annie, a production at Swansea's Grand Theater. More plays followed suit namely Bugsy Malone., Mickey Dolenz‘s The Pyjama Game. And in 1987 Zeta-Jones starred in 42nd Street.

Zeta Jones entered the field of television with H. E. Bates' The Darling Buds of May .After a brief unsuccessful stint as a singer in 1992 (a part in the 1992 album: Jeff Wayne's Musical Version Of Spartacus, featuring the single "For All Time" was. singles "In the Arms of Love," "I Can't Help Myself," and a duet with David Essex, "True Love Ways.") and soon found her bearings there with shows like The Return of the Native (1994) , the mini-series Catherine the Great (1995) and Splitting Heirs (1993).

1996 brought her the evil aviatrix "Sala" in the action film, The Phantom, based on the comic created by Lee Falk. When she worked in the CBS miniseries, Titanic, her performance compelled Steven Spielberg to recommend her name to Martin Campbell, the director of The Mask of Zorro. She was immensely appreciated for her portrayal of Elena, the love interest of Antonio Banderas and estranged daughter of Anthony Hopkins.

The movie became a milestone other career and opened up many gates for her. She lapped it up all by delivering one breakthrough performance after another.2000 saw her working alongside her future husband critically acclaimed Traffic, that earned her first Golden Globe nomination, as Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture.

Chicago (2003) added another feather to her hat as her role of Velma Kelly, glamorous Chicago jazz stage performer who has to do time after killing her sister and her husband. The movie brought her first academy award for best actress in a supporting role.

Her name got associated with more movies like The Terminal, as well as Ocean's Twelve, the sequel to Ocean's Eleven, The Legend of Zorro (2005), the sequel to The Mask of Zorro, the romantic comedy No Reservations (2007), a remake of the German film Mostly Martha and rugby union-related comedy, Coming Out which she produced and starred in herself.
Zeta-Jones is married to actor Michael Douglas (18 November 2000) and have two children with him, son, Dylan Michael Douglas and daughter, Carys Zeta Douglas.

Biography

It would not have been wrong to say that Pamela Anderson has to be one of the top ten controversial celebrities of this century. Since her entrance as the playful, sexy bombshell C.J. parker, one of the lifeguards on the popular television series ‘Baywatch’, Anderson and limelight have went hand in hand.

Fame and scoops have been a part of Pamela’s life since childhood. In fact, the day she was born i.e. on July 1, 1967 in Ladysmith, British Columbia in Canada at 4:08 PST, it was to be Canada's 100th Birthday. Besides earning her the title "The Centennial Baby” the Anderson's received cash prizes and awards for having the first baby.

She later, moved to the city of Vancouver with her parents, Barry Anderson, furnace repairman and Carol Anderson, a waitress. Pamela attended the Highland Secondary School, where she excelled in nearly every sport, specifically volleyball. She was as her parents and teachers recall very determined to be at the top at everything she does. In fact, her yearbook entry at the time of her graduation from high school in 1985 read that she wanted to be a “California Beach Bum".

Career in Movies

Soon after that in 1988 she shifted base to Vancouver and started working as a fitness instructor. It was during this time only when her life took a sharp U –turn. Upon visiting a British Columbia Lions football game wearing a Labatt’s t-shirt, her visual was captured and shown on screen which was widely appreciated by the crowd. She was signed to a commercial contract with Labatt's beer breweries and became the company's "Blue Zone" girl. A plethora of commercials and advertisements followed after that and Pamela announced her arrival with a bang.

Seeing the success and popularity garnered by Pamela in such a short span of time, Playboy magazine approached her for their cover page of the October 1989 issue. She later appeared five times on their magazine cover, making her the record holder in this genre. This trickled down into her landing roles on television shows like Fox's "Married with Children" and in 1991 she got to play "Lisa", the "Tool-Time-Girl" on ABC Television's "Home Improvement”. With the success of this show, Anderson became a household name and was later spotted by David Hasslehoff, who was then casting for his series, “Baywatch” (1989)

The show ran for many years successfully and gave Pamela the much needed fame and attention. She made her movie debut Raw Justice in 1994. In addition, Anderson was featured in the CBS movie-of-the-week, Come Die with Me: A Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer Mystery (1994) (TV). She also starred in Barb Wire (1996) and turned her wheels towards television again in 1998 with the series “V.IP.” Pamela also has a cartoon series dedicated to herself. By the fall of 2003 the new network Spike TV launched her latest action series, a cartoon developed by Stan Lee called "Stripperella" (2003). Another serial, this time a sitcom came her way in 2005 being ”Stacked”.

The curvaceous actress who is well known for her eyebrow raising breast implants married Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee in February 1995 and have two kids with him, Brandon Thomas Lee and Dylan Jagger Lee. She later got divorce with her husband in 1998 upon the charges of physical assault but got back with him after 5 years when she was detected with virus hepatitis c.

All one can say for Pamela is she sure knows how to stir things up with the fire and spunk alive in her.
